A few days ago, Counter Strike: Global Offensive got a sizable update. The update has changed the game a lot. opens up two maps for everyone to use, and adds a brand new level of customization to the game in the form of stickers. A list of all the changes have been given on the Steam community page.
The stickers are something you can have a lot of fun with. They are small graphical emblems that can be added to any gun in your collection. You’ll now start receiving Sticker Capsules as drops when playing the game, however you’ll need a Sticker Capsule Key to unlock each one. You can also move a sticker from one gun to another, however only a limited number of times before they are ruined and discarded. The designs are currently selected randomly from a limited set, but Valve has said they are “developing a workshop for stickers” and that they “will have more information soon”. Stickers are a purely cosmetic addition to your weapons and only serve as an extra layer of customization. The stickers give your gun a unique look and you can make some awesome looking guns.
Several tweaks and changes have taken place as well. Changes that will affect most elements of gameplay. Some guns have been tweaked including higher accuracy for the Desert Eagle, greater control and firing rate for scoped rifles, and a 50% reduction in accuracy for all automatic weapons while moving or strafing. Grenades have also been subject to change. Now the grenades have a secondary fire option that allows you to toss them underhand at a shorter distance or mix the two “firing” modes to control exactly how far the grenade flies to get the perfect precision and placement. Another pretty cool and useful change that has occurred is to the radar system. The Radar will color-code your teammates in competitive matches and displaying them as a different colored dot on your radar or mini-map. This is quiet a small but important change and I think other competitive FPS games should have this too.
With the release of the new update, Operation Bravo came to an end. Which means that all the players can now enjoy the maps ,Overpass and Cobblestone on any server, with no paid pass required. You can still buy the pass on the Community Market since they still net you Operation Bravo coins.
