inFAMOUS: Second Son Will Not Have Multiplayer

A few days ago, there was a rumor that inFAMOUS: Second Son will have a multiplayer, unfortunately that is false. Brand Development Director Ken Schramm clarified the situation while attending an interview by the Taiwanese media during a stage event at Taipei Game Show.

Schramm mentioned that Delsin Rowe will meet partners during the story mode. Maybe more people with similar powers and abilities.

The Q&A carried on and a few other things were revealed.

The game is an open world game, so the players can do missions and quests outside of the main story without time constraints. Despite that they still have to be careful, because by making choices between good and evil certain situations may be irremediably lost, and it won’t be possible to play them anymore. That is something that the players should always have in mind.

The next part was very interesting. Schramm told us about how the powers will effect our surrounds. Superpowers will interact heavily with the environment. No new superpowers besides smoke and neon, which we already knew about, have been revealed so far.

I was looking forward to the multiplayer when I heard the rumors. It would’ve been interesting to see how the developers would add a multiplayer mode to a game like inFAMOUS: Second Son.

Actually, I’m glad they didn’t included multiplayer. As for now developers trying to feed us with mp wherever they can and usually that means we are loosing the quality of main story, length of sp campaign, and are trying to force people to play online even, if they are not interested in such. Some games are created with mp in mind (Borderlands, battlefield), but other are focusing on giving us the best story and sp experience (skyrim, witcher, tales of xillia…). I will definitely buy the Infamous after playing both previous parts, that game may not be the best around, but I myself really am enjoying the story.
