Just Cause 3 Devs Promise Performance Improvements For PS4 And Xbox One, Share Details On First DLC

Just Cause 3 developer Avalanche Software has shared a new update on the Steam forums regarding the game’s upcoming patch and DLC.

Avalanche Software has confirmed that they have finished working on the first DLC expansion “Air” for the Season Pass users. This new DLC pack is called ‘Sky Fortress’ and it will add new missions, features and more to the world of Just Cause 3.

Avalanche Software has also teased more optimizations and performance improvements for the PS4 and Xbox One version of the game. While the game was recently updated to fix the long load times, the performance and frame rate is still far from good and the game doesn’t really run at stable 30 fps for the most part. Performance can drop a lot during some of the more explosive scenes.

For those of you that are still having some issues with your game, rest assured that we’re working on optimisations, bug fixes, performance enhancements and improvements, and we’ll continue to roll these out as soon as they’re ready, with the next patch expected later in the month. We’re doing everything we can to get to the bottom of all the issues that are reported to us.

Just Cause 3 was released on December 1st for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. Avalanche Software released a major update after launch that fixed some of the long load times for the game on PS4 and Xbox One.

  • Have none of the framerate issues on the PS4 been fixed? The game is barely enjoyable with the terrible AI but its ok if at least it looks good while blowing everything into oblivion. Take that away and the game is broken, I am considering just taking the game back for a refund..

If I’m not mistaken, it’s now almost the end of February and I still haven’t seen any optimization on the PS4. Will be have to buy the DLC if we want the game to run like it should have run on day one? Or did I not receive the patch they mention??
