Just Cause 3 Direct-Feed 1080p PS4 Screenshots Reveal Colorful Fields And A Great Draw Distance

Just Cause 3 retail version street date has been broken in the Middle East and due to this, the early copies of the game are out in the wild. The game apparently requires 37 GB of hard disk space on PS4 for installing the game disc.

Just Cause 3 has been confirmed to run at native 1080p on the PS4 and you can take a look at the direct-feed screenshots, shared by NeoGAF user nbnt, below to get a glimpse at how the game looks on the PS4.

The above screenshots also show that the game is certainly not short of colorful open fields. The draw distance looks pretty good on the PS4 considering the game runs natively at 1080p, albeit at 30 fps.

Just Cause 3 is developed by Avalanche Software and published by Square Enix. It is an open world action adventure game that offers a unique gameplay mechanic in the form of a grappling hook. This offers plenty of unique gameplay moments for the players. Avalanche Software has also added a new Wingsuit to the game that lets the players easily traverse across the world map.

Just Cause 2 was released on the PS3 and Xbox 360 and it was known for its huge open world. The world in Just Cause 3 is around 400 Square Miles so be prepared to spend a lot of time in exploring every part of it.

Just Cause 3 will run at native 1080p on the PS4 and 900p on the Xbox One. It will also launch on PC alongside the consoles on December 1st.

No texture filtering. Weak FXAA coverage. Footage shows sub-20FPS under load.

Typical PS4 weak trash hardware unable to run games properly. It’s full majesty will only be seen on PC.

  • Shamic

looks amazing. I will be able to buy the whole game on disc for PC right? I hate this new thing of buying the physical copy, then finding out you need to download more then half the game

  • justerthought

Amazing. This is next gen. Full colour, full 1080p detail, zero screen tear. The draw distance is amazing. The engine looks as good as GTAV on PS4, so it will be awesome. As usual, the XB1 trails at 900p with one foot stuck in last gen.

This generation has panned out to 3 types of gamer:

1 – The PC gamer. Rich no compromise perfectionist who buys an expensive rig that is expensive to maintain.

2 – The PS4 gamer. Budget gamer. Perfectly acceptable performance with high quality graphics.

3 – The XB1 gamer. Budget gamer but accepts lower quality graphics out of misplaced loyalty and claims he cannot tell the difference.

About point 3…hilarious but also so, sooooo true! Lmao!
I’m both 1 and 2. Exclusives for PS4 and multiplats for PC. 🙂

    • Markymark

Looks great, I completely agree. To be honest though I would argue that a lot of this is down to great art direction; there’s been a huge tendency towards muddy colour palettes for the past 6-7 years.

1 – Nonsense. A £500 rig will be able to run this at 50-60fps on at least the same settings. Same deal with Mad Max. When you factor in the fact that you don’t have to pay for online play, games being half the price (JC3 is only £20 NEW on PC) it is neither more expensive to buy or maintain.

2 – It’s okay. Both consoles are underwhelming. They’re basically £250 worth of components sold for £300. Less expensive up front, more expensive on the long term especially given the relative performance. 30fps is only just barely acceptable. It’s passable if it’s locked with even frame times, but it often isn’t, a huge number of titles aren’t even sustaining 30fps.

3 – Pretty much the same as above but with a drop in resolution. Misplaced loyalty? Backwards compatibility would suggest otherwise and it’s costing XB1 owners nothing. They also seem to be doing rather well with regards to exclusives, whereas as I’m still waiting for Sony to pull their f***ing finger out.

Most of what I’ve said is objective, only some is subjective. Exactly which part do you think is BS? Come on, I’m all ears.

Um…you forgot 4 – Retired gamer with the $$ to own and game on ALL platforms. 🙂

    • Shamic

I always play on PC but am basically the same way as you portrayed the Xbox gamer.

    • Truth™

Silky smooth 20FPS is “Acceptable” to PS4 owners?

      LOOOOOOOOOOOOL

The denial on your weak trash peasant hardware is hilarious.

  • spideynut71

My PC is waiting to devour this buffet of ballistic beauty.

    • Michael Norris

Yes Yes i own both a gaming Pc that will run it at 1080p/60fps and i own a Ps4 which will do a fine job as well.

      • spideynut71

As do I ….but I’d never even bother plugging in my PS4 for a multiplatform game…waste of time.

        • Sam Malone

Waste of time lol. Aren’t you special.

Cause plugging in the HDMI and power cable is sooooo time consuming.

Pre-ordered! Game looks great! I can’t wait for it.

I destroyed JC2. So many enjoyable hours spent on it. I can’t remember exactly, but I think that I hit 99.4 % complete.

I’m definitely dropping every other game for JC3. Mission to Plat!

          • spideynut71

My PS4 is currently stored away inside my TV cabinet…has been for most of the last year. Just been waiting for Uncharted 4.

      • Truth™

20FPS 4 isn’t going to do jack. lol

    • Ali Hassan

How are you enjoying your AAA exclusives as a PC gamer…oh wait.

      • spideynut71

I’d tell you, but you obviously can’t read anyway…or you just ignored my other comments. PC for multiplats, and consoles for their (few) exclusives…that’s the way it’s always been for mel, for the last 2 gens. 🙂

  • IronManO3 .
