Just Cause 3 Patch 1.02 Greatly Improves Load Times On PS4, Comparison With Patch 1.01

Avalanche Software has released a brand new update for Just Cause 3 on all platforms. This new patch also promises significantly improved load times that plagued the console version of the game. These load times ranged from 1 minutes to as long as 3-4 minutes depending on how long the player had played the game.

The latest patch for Just Cause 3 has promised improved load times and we can confirm that this is indeed the case here. The load times are greatly reduced now, and at times, almost slashed to half compared to the previous patch. You can check out the comparison between Patch 1.01 and Patch 1.02 below. These load times were tested while running the game in online mode.

Condition (1.01)Load Time (1.01)Condition (1.02)Load Time (1.02)

As seen above, the improvement is dramatic and we can no longer see the 3-4 minutes load times in Just Cause 3. Aside from the inital load being the same, the in-game load times have improved massively. While there is improvement in load times, the game still suffers from frame rate issues and stuttering but in any case, we can hopefully expect Avalanche to fix them in an upcoming update.
