The King of Fighters XIV Patch 1.09 vs. 1.10 Comparison Shows Improved Lighting And Models

SNK has released a brand new update for The King of Fighters XIV for the PS4. This update adds new color variations, improves stability and the visuals for the game on the PS4. The visuals receive an upgrade thanks to a revamped lighting and improved shaders for the character models.

Since the update is available to download now on the PS4, we have decided to do a comparison between the two different patches to see the impact of the new visual upgrades on the PS4.

In the first set of comparison pics, we take a closer look at the character models when executing their specials or victory pose.

In the second comparison, we can notice an improvement in lighting and characters even if we are fighting with the regular camera.

The improvements here are a nice touch since the original game often made the characters look worse in closeups, thanks to the lack of proper lighting and shaders. While the backgrounds remain the same, and they are gorgeous already, the character models have been retouched and they now fit the art style of the game.

The King of Fighters XIV is available now for the PS4.

Let us know what do you think about the improvements seen in this new patch in the comments below.
