L.A Noire Requires You To Download 14 GB Data Despite Physical Disc On Xbox One

L.A Noire is out now for the PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The game is a remaster from the PS3 and Xbox 360 and features improved visuals and supports 4K resolution for the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, however it appears to be a rather limited release on disc as seen on Xbox One.

According to early reports, the game has just 4 GB of data on disc while the rest of it has to be downloaded from Xbox Live before the game can be played. This is a rather strange move from Rockstar Games which might make sense because of the limited cartridge size on the Nintendo Switch but not for the PS4 and Xbox One.

As you can see in the image above, the disc version only shows 4 GB of the data while the rest of the data has to be downloaded. It hasn’t been confirmed to be the case for the PS4 so far but as it stands, the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One version of the game are essentially useless for the physical release because you can’t play the game without having to download the additional data required for it.

L.A Noire is out on November 14th for the PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
