Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has tons of content for players to enjoy, however, some of the items are locked and can only be unlock by collecting coins.
Coins are an in-game currency for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. These coins are scattered all over the game’s race tracks, and can be collected easily. Some courses might be difficult to collect coins on, but it is worth all the trouble. This guide will help you collect coins without having to do anything.
Why You Should Collect Coins In Mario Kart 8 Deluxe:
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe allows players to make their own custom kart, which they can customize according to their preferences and this is where the coins come in. The game has a lot of content that players have access to right off the bat, however, you will have to unlock the parts to make a custom kart.
To unlock Karts, Wheels, and Gliders, players will have to collect coins and unlock the parts themselves. These parts will unlock randomly as you collect coins. So in order to unlock parts to make your very own kart, you will have to collect coins.
Coin Farming Method For Mario Kart 8 Deluxe:
For the Coin farming method, you must go into multiplayer and start ‘Versus Race Mode’. When you get to the character selection screen, choose Luigi for both controllers and select the +/- button to turn on Auto-Acceleration and Auto-Steering. This will make your characters complete the race, while collecting as many coins as possible, and you don’t even have to control them. Keep in mind, that your characters have to be on different speeds and accelerations, so that they collect as many coins as possible without crashing into each other.
Once you are done with your character selection, move onto the race settings, and the settings should be the same as the ones listed below:
- Teams – No Teams
- 200cc Race
- Items – No Items
- COM – No COM
- COM Vehicles – All Vehicles
- Courses – Choose
- Race Count – 48 Races
For the race track, you can choose whichever one you want, but the Moo Moo Meadows is by far, the best track for collecting coins. However, as mentioned before, this method works well for every race track.
Hopefully this guide helped you collect coins in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The game is now available on the Nintendo Switch.
