Mass Effect Andromeda release date has been set and the game is confirmed for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. Since the game is being developed on EA DICE’s Frostbite Engine, which also powers the Battlefield series on consoles, people were hoping for similar visuals on consoles for Mass Effect: Andromeda.
In a recent comment by Bioware General Manager Aaryn Flynn, he confirmed the resolution for the game on the PS4 and Xbox One. When one fan asked him about the resolution for the game, Flynn responded with the following comment.
Last I checked, we were like other Frostbite games on PS4 and XBox One – 1080p and 900p respectively. All are at 30 fps. PC has uncapped framerate. I think we’ve even gotten over the 30 fps cap in cutscenes, but I’ll double-check in the next couple of weeks.
This seems to be step up from the Battlefield games which run at 720p on the Xbox One and around 900p on the PS4. Both of these games along with Star Wars Battlefront utilize the Frostbite engine, so it is great to hear that the resolution has been increased for Mass Effect: Andromeda.
Mass Effect: Andromeda will be released on the PS4, Xbox One and PC on March 21st.
