Konami finally lifted the veil on the English version of the Ground Zeroes trailer everyone patiently waited for, on their official site.

The trailer finally lets everyone here Kiefer Sutherland’s voice, as opposed to snippets from The Phantom Pain trailer. Getting Sutherland for the role was the most criticized decision of Kojima-san, after having benched David Hayter, a long time veteran voice actor of the series.

YouTube user YongYea made a comparison video. You can check it out below.

The PAX version of the trailer was running on a PC with roughly the same specs as of PS3 while the TGS version was running a PS3 version with higher resolution and 60FPS.

It was also revealed during an interview with Kojima at TGS that the map size of Ground Zeroes is roughly 1/300 the map size of The Phantom Pain. Also among the interview was that the main mission we see here during the night will take place at night regardless of the gameplay video showing Naked Snake/Big Boss infiltrating the camp during the day.

Kojima-san also recommends Next-gen version of MGSV.

No release date has yet been announced for MGSV and no details have yet emerged to confirm that Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain are separate titles. We only know that Ground Zeroes will serve as a prologue to The Phantom Pain and both of them together is what makes up MGSV.
