Mortal Kombat XL Pack Is Available Now: Here’s How To Upgrade To XL Edition From Vanilla Version

Mortal Kombat X DLC

Mortal Kombat X was recently updated to version 1.12 to add support for the release of the upcoming XL edition of the game. This new edition features improved net code, new characters, costumes and fatalities. While the update was already released yesterday, there was no XL content pack for those who wanted to update their vanilla version of the game to the XL version.

Warner Bros. Interactive has finally released the XL Pack on PlayStation Store and Xbox Live marketplace. If you own the original Mortal Kombat X with no additional DLC purchased for it, and want to upgrade to the XL edition and get all the DLCs and characters at a cheap cost, then this XL content pack is the one which you should purchase for your game. You can read more details about the upgrade process from here.

As seen in the image above, the XL Pack contains all of the addition characters, costumes and fatalities featured in the full XL edition of the game. You can follow the instructions below to update your game to the XL version from the Vanilla version.

If you don’t own Kombat Pack 1, you can grab the XL Pack.

Mortal Kombat X – XL Pack (PS4) $24.99

Mortal Kombat X – XL Pack (Xbox One) $24.99

If you own Kombat Pack 1, you can grab Kombat Pack 2.

Mortal Kombat X – Kombat Pack 2 (PS4) $19.99

Mortal Kombat X – Kombat Pack 2 (Xbox One) $19.99

Keep in mind that the XL version of the game is exclusive to PS4 and Xbox One. There are no plans to release it on PC and it will also miss out on the four new characters along with the improved net code.

Mortal Kombat XL is out today on March 1st for the PS4 and Xbox One.
