Need for Speed beta codes being sent out, size 19GB

EA is now sending out beta codes for its forthcoming open world racing game, Need for Speed, to qualifying applicants. Last month, the publisher had invited fans to register on its official website for a chance to get into the game’s closed beta. Applications were only offered to those who have access to the PS4 or Xbox One.

Selected candidates are now receiving confirmation emails from EA with further details on how to download Need for Speed Beta. The file size is 19GB, therefore it’s recommended that beta testers should begin downloading as early as possible.

Unfortunately, those who missed the opportunity to apply for the beta will have to sit this one out, as the deadlines for applications was up until Friday September 25 at 10am CEST.

Need for Speed is slated for release on November 3 for the PS4 and Xbox One. Meanwhile, PC gamers will have to wait a little longer, as the Windows version will be available in Spring 2016.

If you’re one of the selected applicants, share your experience with Need for Speed beta in the comments below.

They really should let us pre-load it.

That’s true, I feel for people with a slow connection (the 19 GBP or so was done in around 40 mins for me so not bad enough to require preload)

I left it downloading on Friday night. Only started playing Saturday morning. Feels like the whole game. What exactly is missing?
