Need for Speed Payback Update 1.04 Is Out Now, Reportedly Fixes Performance

Need for Speed Payback is out now for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. The game has received criticism for its implementation of microtransactions and slow progression however this is something that the developers have promised to fix in subsequent updates.

The newest update for Need for Speed Payback is now live on PC, PS4 and Xbox One and it reportedly improves the performance of the game. The download size of the update is between 4.5 to 5 GB on the PS4 and Xbox One. The load times were a little longer for the game and this patch has managed to reduce them according to users who have it installed on their system.

Ghost Games had confirmed that the following issues will be fixed in future updates.

  • Tune-up shops now stock higher quality parts.
  • Improved quality of cards from targeted rolls in the Tune-up Shops.
  • Increased the level on parts awarded from winning events.
  • Multiple fixes to Improve stability.
  • Improved game performance.

These changes were aimed at making the progression faster without forcing the player to resort to spending money on microtransactions. So far, two updates have been released with more on the way that will implement changes to the game’s economy making it less focused on grind.
