Dying Light was one of the most highly anticipated games of 2014. Set in a zombie apocalyptic open world similar to South American slums and cities. During the day, players traverse an expansive urban environment overrun by a vicious outbreak causing the inhabitants to turn into mindless monsters, scavenging the world for supplies and crafting weapons to defend against the growing infected population with a heavy focus on parkour or freerunning mechanics.
Recently, a new trailer for E3 came out which showcased the combat and parkour side of the game. You can check it out below.
The trailer showed the fans how lifelike the game is, and how realistic the movement your character makes is. Mobility is a very crucial part of this game and this trailer shows how agile and fast your character will be against the horde of zombies.
Dying Light features a dynamic day and night cycle which greatly impacts the game. During the day, players can run around with little to no problems because during the day, the zombies are slow and easy to kill, but roaming the slums and cities during the night is suicide. At night the infected become agile and smarter and they can’t be stopped.
Originally Dying Light was suppose to come out this year but Techland delayed the games release to February 2015. Dying Light will be available on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
