Nier Automata Reportedly Heading To Xbox One – Rumor

Nier Automata is a great action RPG from Platinum Games. It was directed by Yoko Taro and meant to be a spiritual successor to the original Nier. It ended up being a success for Square Enix. The game was only available on PC and PS4 even though the original Nier was released for the Xbox 360 and PS3.

In a new rumor from French website Jeuxvideo, Nier Automata is reportedly coming to the Xbox One this year. There are no details confirmed around its release however the source of the rumor is rather confident about it. Regardless of the authenticity of the rumor, take it with a grain of salt.

Nier Automata launched on the PS4 and PC in March last year. The game ended up selling more than 2 million copies making it a success for Square Enix. It also received a DLC later down the line that added some new content including boss fights.

Nier Automata targeted native 900p on the PS4 and 1080p on the PS4 Pro. Both versions of the game run at 60 FPS. The PC version launched after a week of the PS4 release and had its fair share of issues. Square Enix still hasn’t released a patch to address these issues. It remains to be seen if this rumor does pan out, what kind of enhancements the Xbox One X version can offer next to the PS4 Pro version.
