Nintendo Switch System Software Update Version 5.0.0 To Be Potentially Released Soon

Nintendo Switch might get a new system software update as it has been spotted by some fans that the update for the parental controls app for the Nintendo Switch now references to an upcoming firmware update that hasn’t been released yet. This is not a new occurrence as speculated by reddit user habscupchamps.

According to him, in the past, Nintendo shared similar patch notes mentioning firmware update 3.0.0 in the Parental Controls app however the firmware update was out by then so it was not a leak. This time, it appears to be either a leak or an unintentional mistake by Nintendo where they accidentally listed a different firmware update in the patch notes.

Nintendo Switch has continue d to evolve with the system software updates it gets occasionally. Since launching back in 2017, these updates have added features like the ability to record video or to locate missing controllers. Nintendo has also teased that it is possible to get the recording time up to 15 minutes so this can also be implemented with a future firmware update.

Nintendo Switch is one of the fastest selling hardware by Nintendo and it has outpaced the sales of Nintendo Wii in its launch year. It is basically a hybrid hardware with a focus on both console and portable experience by developers.
