Nioh Has Sold Over 2 Million Copies Worldwide Across PC And PS4

Team Ninja has announced a new sales milestone for their action RPG, Nioh. The game originally launched as a PS4 exclusive and was later ported to PC with all DLC as the Complete Edition.

Nioh was Team Ninja’s take on the action RPG genre with the popularity of the Souls series. It managed to ship 1 million copies on the PS4 before its launch on PC. The latest sales update confirms that the game has now sold over 2 million copies across the PC and PS4.

Nioh launched with a Season Pass that also included atleast 3 post-launch DLC. The PC version of the game was released with all of the post-game content including every update. The game supports the enhanced hardware of the PS4 Pro to run at 60 FPS or a higher dynamic resolution.

The recent sales milestone makes Nioh joins the ranks of Nier Automata and Persona 5 in the sales success of Japanese games that could have been considered niche in the past. If we talk about the Souls series, It has managed to achieve a consistent level of sales. The most recent Dark Souls 3 was reported to ship 3 million copies in 2016.

Nioh is available now for the PS4 and PC. The game was developed by Team Ninja and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
