In November, we saw Sony’s release their Next-Gen console known as the PlayStation 4. The PlayStation 4, with its superior specs, has sold millions of units since its release. With tons of new game coming out later this year, August seems to be a month that we won’t be seeing many new games come out. Instead we’ll be seeing remastered versions of the Last-Gen games like Minecraft, Metro: Redux and more.
Here are some of the new as well as old remastered games which will be coming out in the month of August for the PlayStation 4:
Metro Redux is a Post-Apocalyptic First Person Shooter, and is a two-part remake of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light. It is being developed by 4A Games and published by Deep Sliver. Metro Redux remakes both games with a improved Engine. While Metro: Last Light will have a improved version, Metro 2033 will be completely remade in the Last Light engine with the same features as Metro: Last Light. Metro Redux is being made for the next-generation consoles as well as PC – so this is a remake of the older Metro games with improved graphics.
One of the most popular and addicting games in the world, Minecraft is played by millions of players around the world. Minecraft is an open world game that has no specific goals for the player to accomplish, allowing players a large amount of freedom in choosing how to play the game. The core gameplay revolves around breaking and placing blocks. The game world is essentially composed of rough 3D objects—mainly cubes—that are arranged in a fixed grid pattern and represent different materials, such as dirt, stone, various ores, water, and tree trunks. While players can move freely across the world, objects and items can only be placed at fixed locations relative to the grid. Players can gather these material blocks and place them elsewhere, thus allowing for various constructions.

The Swapper is a puzzle-platformer video game developed and published by Facepalm Games. Curve Studios is helping to port the game to the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita platforms. The game was suppose to come out in May 2014 but was delayed til August. The Swapper is a side-scrolling puzzle-platform video game. The player controls a person stranded on a damaged space station and looking for means to escape. To do so, they must explore the station and find orbs that are used to activate certain doors, allowing them to progress further into the game. The game uses some concepts of ”Metroidvania” games in which the player may have to backtrack through the facility, divided into a number of rooms, to proceed within the game.
INfamous Second Son: First Light
INfamous Second Son is one of the best games to come out on the PS4. Now Sucker Punch are bringing out a DLC for the game called First Light. In First Light, players will control Fetch.
