Sony has confirmed the launch price and the release month for the PlayStation VR device for PS4. According to Sony, the device will cost $399//€399/£349/¥44,980 and comes without the required PlayStation Eye Camera or PlayStation Move peripheral. They can be bought separately along with the Virtual Reality device for the PS4.
In addition to confirming the launch price of PS VR, Sony has also dated the launch month for the device confirming that it will arrive in stores this October. The device will launch worldwide including Europe, North America and Japan this October.
Sharing this news on the official PlayStation Blog, Andrew House, President and CEO of PlayStation, shared the following statement regarding the developer support for PlayStation VR.
Today more than 230 developers are building content for PlayStation VR, from smaller independent teams to larger studios at the industry’s top publishers. We expect to have more than 50 games available from launch in October 2016 until the end of the year.

PS VR will come with the following accessories in its box.
- PSVR HMD
- PlayRoom VR game
- Processor unit.
EA Dice is also developing an exclusive Star Wars Battlefront VR experience for the PlayStation VR. Sony’s own first party developers are also releasing their own software including PlayStation VR Worlds by Sony London Studio and RIGS: Mechanized Combat League by Guerrilla Cambridge.
Amazon UK has confirmed that the pre-orders for PS VR will start tomorrow and they are limited to one physical address per account due to the limited stock.
