Pokemon GO: List of max CP attainable by Pokemon in Pokemon GO

pokemon go server down

In Pokemon GO there aren’t any levels and a Pokemon’s strength is represented by its CP.

CP starts off from single digits and goes up to the thousands. So in most cases the higher CP your Pokemon has, the stronger it will be. Now CP isn’t the only stat that matters since a Dragonite will always be stronger than a Pidgeot at the same CP but its an easy number for most cases.

Each Pokemon in the game is locked at a certain max CP level which isn’t made clear in the game. Luckily for us, Gamepress managed to get the max CP numbers attainable by Pokemon in the game from the game’s code. So these numbers are fairly accurate.

I have a question, let’s say I have two pidgeots, will both of them reach he same max CP? or is it random?

    • Nope, depends on the CP you catch them and their growth curve.

    • Baolin Xie

Only 100% ivs pokemon can reach max CP. IVs can be interpreted as the talent of pokemon.

  • linkinpark187

Alakazam has a CP of 1800? That’s horse shit. Alakazam has the single most highest Special Attack in the games. I’m willing to bet you can get an Alakazam with a higher CP than 1800.

    • Matt Nowell

Sorry to ruin your pokelove, trainer. I am on the high levels of pokemon go and I can tell you the chart is true. Even fucking Wigglytuff can get higher cp than Alakazam.

      • linkinpark187

Time for us to complain to Niantic, then. It should be the other way around. -_-

        • Andrew Sutton

          The whole list is bollocks

  • Robert Stoanes

Wish this was organized from highest to lowest, by # doesn’t make sense in a list like this.

    • Schopes

It’s listed in pokedex number order. It makes complete sense.

      • Robert Stoanes

No, the article and stats listed are conveying information about “Max CP” levels, NOT the ‘pokedex order’. This would get an “F” in statistics class as the chart makes it unnecessarily difficult to ascertain highest to lowest CP for each pokemon.

        • linkinpark187

Most people know what Pokémon they’re looking for, therefore the list doesn’t need to sorted from greatest CP to lowest. It takes a two second Google/Bing search of the Pokémon name to find it’s number via Bulbapedia.

        • Schopes

Well Robert, this is Pokemon, not statistics class. The number on the left (ID) is the dex number. That’s how it’s listed, in that order.

So copy the chart to excel and use a filter?
