Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee has received a brand new trailer today. This trailer also gives us a glimpse at the world map for the Kanto region, which is from the original Pokemon.

The gameplay trailer of Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee can be seen here while this article covers the comparison between the world map of the old version of Kanto with the new Pokemon games.

Pokemon Let’s Go Kanto Region World Map Comparison

Since we have now our first look at the Kanto region world map, we decided to see how it compares to the original design of Kanto. The comparison below is between the Let’s go version and the old design.

The world map here looks to be a rather faithful recreation of the original design. It retains most of the important landmarks and has made some slight changes to the design but there is still a sense of familiarity with the new map.

In the old version map, you can identify the key locations where you were able to capture the original generation of Pokemon. It remains to be seen if the location of each Pokemon will also be changed or will they remain the same for this game.

These are not the only Pokemon games that are releasing for the Nintendo Switch as there is another unannounced project set to release in 2019. These two versions of Pokemon Let’s Go will be out on November 16th for the Nintendo Switch.
