The British video game development company, Introversion Software has announced that their 2D Prison Simulation title, Prison Architect will be released for PS4, Xbox One and Xbox 360 this Spring. This was announced by the game’s developers via Twitter.
In the game, you take control of a tiny little person along with a Prison where you will be able to manage almost everything including taking care of building cells and facilities, Hiring staff such as a warden, guard, worker and assigning them a specific job. You will also have to work as an architect as setting up lights and connecting drain systems with each other will be up to you. Keep in mind that there will be a budget for these things, so don’t go wild.
Prison Architect was one of the first Early Access title that was available on Steam. It was launched as an Early Access title back in March 2013 on PC and was released as a full game on October 6, 2015. Between this Early Access and full release time period, the game received a lot of updates along with new features. According to its developers, the game has sold more than 1.5 million copies on PC till now. The console version of the game will be available for $30 and will feature a Prison Warden mode where players can manage pre-built prisons.
Prison Architect is set to release in Spring 2016 on PS4, Xbox One and Xbox 360. No major details about the console version of the game have been revealed by the developers but we will hopefully hear something regarding it soon.
