Project Cars File Size for Playstation 4 and Xbox One revealed

Project Cars is an upcoming racing simulation game by developers Slightly Mad Studios. The game is up on both the Playstation Network and Xbox Store where the game’s file size has been revealed. People planning to get the game digitally will be glad to know that Project Cars won’t have that big of a file size than initially expected of a game of such magnitude.

Projects Cars on Playstation 4 is 17.8GB and 18.13GB on the Xbox One. The game will release with 65 cars and 100 tracks for players to race through with more content to be added later in the game’s lifespan. Packing in so much content and graphical fidelity in such a small package by today’s standards is quite amazing when you consider that the last Advanced Warfare patch was 2.5GB.

Projects Cars will obviously end up sizing much larger as further content planned for the game is released.

Project Cars releases on PS4, Xbox One and PC on May 7 in Europe and May 12 in North America. The SteamOS and Wii U versions will release at a later date.

When you consider that other racers don’t have a lot of tracks and it’s usually the same old tracks, 100 tracks is one hell of an amount. Gran Turismo 7 and Forza 6 will probably be swamped with old tracks. From the many vids I’ve watched, it looks like it lacks sense of speed, plus not a lot of cars to race against. Not a launch purchase. Like with DriveClub (picked it up for £12 used), I’ll wait.
