SCE (Sony Computer Entertainment) released their earning figures earlier today and revealed that the PS4 has shipped over 25.3 million units worldwide. In the first fiscal quarter of 2015 alone the console has shipped 3 million units, a decent rise from 2.4 million of the previous quarter.
The Playstation 4 has proven to be a runaway success for the Japanese hardware giant after releasing the console back in November of 2013. The console is selling so quickly that it has eclipsed sales of the Playstation 2 when it was the same time into its lifecycle. The PS2 is of course considered the most successful console produced.
Sony also noted that although sales of Playstation 4 consoles and accessories has been on the rise, the Playstation 3 has suffered an expected decline.
