Red Dead 2 might be real and should be close to an official reveal as the world map for the game was reportedly leaked. In addition to the world map, the leak also confirms that the game is a prequel that is set before the story in Red Dead Redemption.
Red Dead Redemption was a critical and commercial hit for Rockstar Games that they released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 before the release of GTA V. The game featured a wild west settings and an open world.
Out first look at Red Dead 2 is an early design of the world map, shared on NeoGAF by a user claiming to have received it through an “anonymous” source. This map was later verified by website TechRadar, who also confirmed that the game might be a prequel to Red Dead Redemption. You can check out this leaked map below.
Take Two CEO had earlier hinted at a potential Red Dead sequel considering the massive success of the original. Rockstar Games has currently a game planned for release at the end of this year and rumors point to it being Red Dead Redemption sequel. Judging from what we have heard so far, it will actually be the prequel to Red Dead Redemption although it remains to be seen how the story will uncover now that we know the fate of John Marston.
