Square Enix has released the first set of screenshots for Rise of the Tomb Raider on PC. These screenshots appear to render at 4K resolution and judging from the minimum requirements, the game doesn’t appear to be that demanding on PC.
You can check out the full set of screenshots in the gallery below. Keep in mind that Rise of the Tomb Raider has no pre-rendered cutscenes on Xbox One so the closeup of characters that can be seen in the screenshots below is all real-time, rendered on the actual hardware.
Rise of the Tomb Raider is currently set for a release on January 28th for the PC. It will be available on Steam as well as the Windows 10 store. The game is being released on PC with an exclusive partnership with Nvidia and it will also have features exclusive to Nvidia graphics cards.
Rise of the Tomb Raider was originally released on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One on November 10th, 2015. It was developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix. The Xbox 360 version of the game was ported by Nixxes. It is unclear which developer is working on the PC version of the game since Nixxes are also working on Deus Ex: Mankind Divided for PC, set to release this year. Square Enix has also confirmed a PS4 version of the game for a release in Fall 2016.
