Rumor: Retailer Lists The Last of Us Remastered PS4 Release Date As August 12th

The Last of Us Remastered is an upcoming PS4 exclusive from Naughty Dog. It will contain the original The Last of Us and all of its additional DLCs in a single package on the PS4 with remastered graphics and other gameplay enhancements. The game was announced earlier this year, but hasn’t received a release date yet.

In a new update shared on gaming forum NeoGAF, one user has confirmed that his local retailer has now updated the release date of the game to August 12th, which also fits in with the announced Summer 2014 release window. He clarifies that these dates are usually closer to the American ones, if not the same.

While this is by no means any confirmation of the release date, it definitely seems possible. In either case, we might hear more about it at the upcoming E3.

The Last of Us Remastered has been confirmed to be running at 1080p and 60 fps. The original game has won over 200 game of the year awards so far and developer Naughty Dog were awarded Studio of the Year award for their work on the game.

Buying this simply to support the amazing devs at Naughty Dog because they deserve $120 for this game, what a masterpiece.

Absolutely. I held off buying the Left Behind DLC hoping for a PS4 TLOU announcement. I’ve played through the game multiple times, and loved survivor difficulty. Can’t wait to test grounded and check of Left Behind. Last summer I didn’t have the time to check out the multiplayer of TLOU, though I hear it’s very good. I’ll hopefully have time to jump into that as well. Naughty Dog doesn’t know how to disappoint. They only make winners.
