Rumor: New Resident Evil To Be Revealed At E3, Won’t Be Resident Evil 7

It seems like the next Resident Evil reveal is planned for the upcoming E3. The more interesting bit here is that it won’t be a sequel to Resident Evil 6, and is a spin-off like Resident Evil: Revelations.

This rumor comes courtesy of gaming forum NeoGAF and confirmed though multiple sources. Since this is a rumor for now, take this one with a pinch of salt. Still, it shouldn’t be surprising since Resident Evil 7 could take a while and there is no harm in releasing another game like Resident Evil: Revelations in the meanwhile.

According to what has been revealed regarding this new Resident Evil.

  • It is not Resident Evil 7.
  • It will be revealed at E3 2014.
  • It will feature three returning characters from the series. One male and two female.
  • Two of these characters haven’t been seen in a ‘decade’ and one of them never had an appearance in-game.

Resident Evil: Revelations was originally released on Nintendo 3DS. It marked the series’ return to its survival horror root. It was later remade for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC with HD graphics. The game is usually considered a solid entry in the series.

So what do you have to say about this rumor? Let us know in the comments below.

it’s going to be multi platform, theres no reason for it to be exclusive on ps4 or xbox one

    Resident Evil for Vita

  • doom guy

Dead Rising 3 exclusive for Xbox One, Next RE exclusive for PS4???

    • Cameron Rogers

Doubt it. Re is a different story when it comes to exclusive titles. Dead rising 3 was never going to happen until Microsoft funded it. As for resident evil, it sells so high we never have to worry.

You can most likely put your money on Alice…Capcom has been supposedly talking about wanting to put Alice into the game for a few months now…Something about the psychic abilities being an interesting gameplay mechanic or something. And then it somehow ties the games and movies universes together-ish

Steve Burnside will have to be one since it’s “Enhanced Veronica.” He’s the only source of the virus left, according to main story.

  • Mila

I hope from the deep of my heart it has nothing to do with M$ moneyhatting

    • Guest

I hope it does, so you fake gamers can burn.

Hmmm… could the unkown chick be….Elza Walker???

    • bigevilworldwide

You have heard the rumor that has been floating around for months correct….Chances are that person is Alice…..

  • Rudra Bharat

Not likely, evil within is coming soooo

  • Kamille

i just wish the game to be less action oriented… Because after the Wesker plot-twist with his super powers and action gameplay with qte’s the series was ruined for me.

    • bigevilworldwide

How was that a plot twist considering it was common knowledge that he has “bonded” with the T-virus since the end of Resident Evil 1……And it was made fully flushed out in Code Veronica, all RE5 did was further his already obviously greed for more power and to spread the virus worldwide
