Rumor: Resident Evil 7 in development?

Resident Evil 7 seems to be in development according to a listing on a Linkedin profile.

The listing shows a employee of “House of Moves” company, which is a Animation and Motion Capture studio, working on Costume Design for Resident Evil 7.

This is not really a shocking news since Resident Evil is Capcom’s biggest franchise and hence it was expected that they will be working on a sequel soon enough. Now it seems like they started working on it immediately after the release of Resident Evil 6.

Resident Evil 6 was critically a big failure for Capcom. It did sell close to 5 million but after its record breaking opening, it soon lost momentum due to the terrible reviews and negative word of mouth.

Resident Evil 6 was also the biggest Resident Evil game to date. Not only it was full of content, it also had the largest team working on it according to Capcom.

Here’s hoping that they make it a better game this time around and more like Resident Evil 4 instead of 5.

Honestly , i expect nothing more than a dumb Gears of War/CoD clone. After RE5 and 6 i can’t see them making a real thing.. they have no people to do it. Those guys are gone..

maybe a brand new remake of res evil 2 or the 1.5 that teased but was never released.

    • Only Shinji Mikami can make something like that and he has left Capcom now. Don’t forget to buy his Evil Within to support him as it goes back to his Survival Horror roots.

    • I agree. It was a honest mistake on my part. I changed the title now.
