The Last Guardian was revealed after a long time at Sony’s E3 2015 conference and the reveal trailer ended with a release window of 2016. This might have worried some of the fans who are aware of the problematic development nature of the game but according to Shuhei Yoshida, they certainly wouldn’t want to miss the 2016 release window.
“I’m very happy that I can now talk about The Last Guardian coming to PS4 and finally show the game! Development is in very good shape, and that’s why we re-announced at E3. We have great confidence in the game’s development,” said Shuhei Yoshida in a post on the official PlayStation Blog.
“I’m both relieved and getting renewed stress because we announced the release window. This is the second time so we cannot miss it!”
He also talked about the Final Fantasy VII Remake reveal and how he didn’t knew about it until it was very late in planning stage and his reaction after seeing the trailer was priceless.
“Of course I was very, very happy to see Final Fantasy VII actually being remade. So many people wanted it. I didn’t know about it until very late in the process, and when I came to rehearsals and saw the video I was like, ‘Oh my god!’.”
The Last Guardian and Final Fantasy VII: Remake are both hotly anticipated project among the fans. In the case of the former, we are getting the game in 2016, while in the case of the later, we are probably getting it on the 20th Anniversary of Final Fantasy VII release.
