The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition was released at the end of October for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. This is an enhanced version of the original Skyrim that has been released for the PS4 and Xbox One and offers mods for the first time on consoles.
Skyrim is an extremely popular first person RPG that was developed by Bethesda Softworks. It has received several mods on PC and with the release of Special Edition, these mods will be available to the console users as well.
The latest update for Skyrim: Special Edition is still in Beta mode but Bethesda Softwarks has shared an official changelog as well as details regarding the changes implemented in this new update.
- General performance and optimization improvements
- Fixed rare issue with NPCs not appearing in proper locations
- Fixed issue with saves erroneously being marked as Modded, even though no mods are active
- Updated some sound files to not use compression
This patch can be downloaded through Steam by forcing the game to allow Beta updates. It is unknown whether these fixes will be also released for the consoles.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is available now for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. It is one of the confirmed games that will have support for PS4 Pro.
