Sony Hiring For A New Dev Team For Project Collaboration With Another Major Studio

Sony is reportedly hiring for a major project in San Diego. This project is going to be managed by a new development team that will be operated under the Visual Arts Service Group (VASG), which is an award winning studio that has worked on games like Death Stranding, God of War and Uncharted 4. The job opening mentions having passion for creating high quality, 3rd person, Action/Adventure games.

The interesting part of this job listing is the mention about another major Sony development studio.

This high visibility project is being developed in collaboration with a major Sony development studio.  Though currently unannounced, we have a clear vision and plan to release.  The new game development team will leverage our existing expertise and premier talent, guaranteeing a high visual quality bar for the title.

As discovered by resetERA user dobahking91, the major Sony development studio that is mentioned in this job listing can be Naughty Dog, since one linkedin profile from a Sony developer in San Diego has listed an unannounced project along with The Last of Us Part 2. It will be interesting to see what kind of 3rd person action adventure game is being developed at this new studio, and it is something that Naughty Dog are potentially going to be involved with in production.

Naughty Dog are currently hard at work on The Last of Us Part 2. The game has yet to get a proper release year but it is expected to show up at E3 2018. They have released Uncharted 4 in 2016 followed by Uncharted: The Lost Legacy in 2017. Their next project is The Last of Us Part 2 but perhaps they will also play a role in the development of this unannounced project.
