Spider-Man PS4 2016 vs. 2018 Comparison Shows How The Game Has Evolved

Spider-Man PS4 was originally revealed at E3 2016. The footage shown back at E3 2016 was so good that it looked like a pre-rendered video, however as Insomniac Games later showcased with a live demo, this was all done in-game using their own engine.

The most recent video for Spider-Man PS4 gives us a glimpse at how the visuals have evolved since it features the same scene that was originally seen at E3 2016. The comparison below highlights the 2 years difference from its initial reveal to the final retail version that is set to launch this September.

The colors are more vibrant and the the design of the city has changed to some extent. The time of day is slightly different so it makes it harder to compare the two versions. That said, it is hard to deny that there are some definitive improvements especially when it comes to the Spider Suit. The textures look better and more detail can be seen on it.

Spider-Man PS4 is currently being developed by Insomniac Games. It is an open world action game that gives you complete control of the Spider-Man powers. It won’t really feature a dynamic time of day however you can manually change it after beating the game.

Spider-Man PS4 will be out on September 7th. It will be published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
