Square Enix Comments On Final Fantasy Type-0 HD PC And Vita Version

Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata is currently conducting an AMA on reddit for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. The game is set to launch on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 17th, 2015 in North America. It will also come with a demo of Final Fantasy XV titled Episode Duscae. This demo will be limited though and will only ship with day one copies of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD and its Limited Edition. If you were curious to know if the digital version of the game will also ship with the demo, you should be glad to know that the director has confirmed that Type-0 HD digital purchase will also get the FFXV demo in a limited time offer. He also answered some questions about the Vita and PC version of the game.

“I wanted everyone to be able to play the game on a large high-definition screen,” said Tabata when asked about a Vita version.

“Honestly, my eyesight’s getting worse, so it’s getting difficult to see things on a smaller screen. I’ve seen some questions about why Type-0 isn’t being released on the Vita while X/X-2 HD saw a Vita release. The reason is that the X/X-2 HD Remaster was developed on a PS3/Xbox 360 environment, while Type-0 HD was developed on a PS4/Xbox One environment. So there is a great difference in the technical specs and it would not be easy to export the data to the Vita,” he concluded.

When a fan asked about PC version, Tabata was quick to crack a joke about Half-Life 3.

“There are currently no plans for a PC version, but I am very interested in Steam. The thing is, I want to know when Valve’s going to release Half-Life 2 Episode 3.”

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will be released on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 17th, 2015. The day one edition of the game along with the limited edition will include vouchers for Final Fantasy XV Episode Duscae demo.

Unless they release a PC version through steam or whatever, they aren’t getting 1 cent of my money
