Square Enix Removes Thief PS4 Demo From PSN Store

In a strange turn of events, it appears that the demo of Thief on PSN store has been removed for the PS4. This demo was recently made available online so its removal seems rather surprising.

Thief is a first person stealth adventure that is a reboot of the popular series that made its debut on PC. It had received fairly average reviews following a very troubled development period. It was finally released on February this year. Originally, there was no demo for Thief on the PS4 but Square Enix released one earlier this month. It seems that this demo has now been removed from the PSN Store.

There is no reason given on its removal but we can confirm that it is no longer available on the US and EU PSN Store. If you have downlaoded the demo before its removal, you can still play it. Hopefully, this is a temporary issue and the demo could be back on the PSN store.

We have done a detailed comparison for Thief on the PS3 and PS4. If you want to see the difference, you can head over here to check it out.

I’ll probably buy it, if I could try the Demo before paying $60.

I read the news that there is an Demo available. Disappointing that they removed it, it still says the game features a demo but it doesnt show up.

  • Anders

I didn’t know it was available before I would have liked to try it.
