Star Wars Battlefront 2 Devs Looking Into Conquest Mode

Star Wars Battlefront 2 might be getting a conquest mode for its multiplayer, however it is not set in stone because the developers are looking into ways to integrate such a mode into the game.

In a forum post, the developer for Star Wars Battlefront 2 replied back to a question about fan demand for a Conqeust Mode. According to the developer, they have heard about the fans requesting such a mode but are not sure which is the correct way to implement this in Star Wars Battlefront 2. They don’t think simply copying it with the default ruleset will work as well for Star Wars Battlefront 2.

The full response was later shared at reddit which you can see below. Along with the Conquest mode, it was confirmed that customization will be expanded and the game will get content from Star Wars Clone Wars saga.

I should clarify this a bit. I got a bit tired so I simplified the response a bit too much. We’re obviously hearing the request for a more free-flowing, open-sandbox large game mode and we’re prototyping something of that nature for a future release (hopefully). I’m not sure if porting over a ruleset completely is the way to go yet (there were reasons why we decided not to do that previously) but as soon as I know for sure, I’ll let you know.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is available now for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
