Star Wars Battlefront 2 Has The Lowest Rated User Reviews On Metacritic

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is out now for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. The game is not without its controversy mainly surrounding the loot boxes and microtransactions that seems to have been implemented as a way to remove the season pass for the game. This has resulted in some ridiculous requirements like spending 40 hours of grinding credits just to unlock a single hero or villain in the game’s multiplayer mode.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 might have fared well with critics as it currently has a metacritic average score of 75, but the user scores have made it one of the lowest rated game on the website. The influx of negative reviews are mostly due to the loot boxes controversy that started to plague the game before launch.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 developer EA DICE had conducted a reddit AMA recently that was done in order to answer some of the questions behind their design decisions for the game, however it didn’t exactly help sell the concept of their microtransactions or loot boxes implementations. One of the comment that was made by an official EA Community Manager for game ended up with the most downvoted comment in reddit history.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 has been out now for a few days. It features a single player story campaign as well as multiple mode and has removed any season pass like in the original Battlefront so now every content will be free for players, but at the cost of loot boxes.
