Sucker Punch Created Their Own “Fish AI” For inFamous: Second Son; Shows Delsin Chasing Fishes

In their GDC Presentation titled “The Visual Effects of inFamous: Second Son”, Sucker Punch showed a neat little footage at the end.

Delsin from inFamous: Second Son unfortunately can’t swim at all. There is no way to swim underwater or explore it in the game. Upon falling in water, we are forced to press the Touch Pad to get back on surface. Even if this wasn’t the case, Sucker Punch seems to have create their own Fish AI, probably their take on the equally hilarious Call of Duty: Ghosts’ Fish AI, that was proudly presented at E3 2013.

You can check out this WebM below, which shows Delsin chasing these fishes while they try to avoid him.

In case you haven’t used the latest Photo Mode of inFamous: Second Son, make sure to check it out after updating to the latest patch. You can also check out some cool screenshots from the Photo Mode here or some GIFs showing the “Pause” effect of the Photo Mode, which looks cool, just like in Quantum Break.

What do you think about this footage? Let us know in the comments below.

Best looking next gen games so far.

    • Wrong. Both Shadowfall and Ryse look better than SS.

Infamous is technically superior to Ryse in every way. 1080p, 35 fps average (according to DF), open world, next gen visual effects, cutscenes are mostly realtime, etc. Also The Order.

A 900p, 25 fps average, QTE corridor brawler with copypasted barbarian enemies and pre-rendered CG movie cutscenes isn’t as technically advanced and Ryse would run better on PS4. PS4 could easily run Ryse at 1080p, higher framerate, more visual effects, and better GPGPU physics.

In terms of tech specs: Open world, 1080p native, 30-40 fps average, better AA, more effects, and almost all cutscenes are realtime not pre-rendered CG movies like Ryse. Pretty much a slam dunk in terms of technical superiority.

LOL this xtreme derp is such a loser, stop sucking sonys tip and buy a cheap 750 ti gpu for a pc if you want performance better than both the ps4 & xbone, it can run titanfall & bf4 at 1080p 60fps.

Wait for 1st party games to say what PS4 is capable of.

I have a high end GTX 780 Ti and i7-4770k OCed PC already thanks.
