PlayStation 4 has been officially launched in North America. A few days before the launch, Sony released an app for the smartphones which will allows you to browse new content, message PSN friends or even connect to your PlayStation 4.
This app integration with the PlayStation 4 has opened up some new ways to interact with the PlayStation 4. You can bring up a keyboard on your smartphone and enter text on the PlayStation 4. It is as simple as that and fast too. Check out how one YouTube user, TheShachah, has uploaded a video of him easily entering the code on the PlayStation 4. No more plugging in keyboards or using the DualShock 4 to enter the codes. This is easily the most overlooked feature of the app.
Frankly, we are very impressed with the integration options the app offers with the PlayStation 4. The Official PlayStation app is currently available for iOS and Android platforms. You can download the app for iOS here and for Android here.
Last week, we saw how Major Nelson redeemed codes on the Xbox One with just bringing up the QR Code up to Kinect and it would easily recognize and enter the code. We hope that with PlayStation Camera, Sony should bring the same feature as well to redeem codes fast and easily.
What do you think about the app integration? Have you gotten to try it out yet with your PlayStation 4? Let us know in the comments below.
