The fourth episode titled Escape Plan Bravo of the so far excellent Tales from the Borderlands is here, read on below to see how it fares compared to the previous episodes.
Escape Plan Bravo starts off with the team being stuck in a difficult position forcing them to come up with a plan to sneak into Helios to get a very plot important item. Most of the episode is revolved around preparation and was a bit dull, but the climax and ending made everything worth it. The pacing felt off and certainly noticeable compared to previous episodes which were entertaining from start to end.
We see a lot of Handsome Jack in this episode as he actively helps Rhys to find what they’re looking for. I’ll be honest, some of the things he does seem out of character. Maybe he has an ulterior motive that Rhys is not aware of? There’s also a very unexpected betrayal, which I didn’t see coming to be honest.
My main problem so far with the game is that we know very little about the overarching story and the mysterious figure. I hope that Telltale Games closes all these important plot points they’ve brought forth in the finale as the story deserves it.
This review covers the PS4 version of the game.
Tales from the Borderlands Episode 4: Escape Plan Bravo Review (PS4)
Although Escape Plan Bravo is the weakest of the episodes released so far its still a very entertaining experience and nicely sets up the finale. Its worth picking up if you're buying the game by episode as quite frankly you're too deep into the story now my friend!
