Tekken 7 is set to launch next month on the PS4, Xbox One and PC. The game is being developed by Bandai Namco Games who originally launched it in Arcades and are finally releasing it for consoles. While Tekken 7 is coming to multiple platforms, it has a VR mode for the PlayStation VR which is exclusive to that platform.
Digital Foundry recently had a chance to check out Tekken 7 PSVR mode and also carry a technical analysis of the game running on the regular PS4. According to Digital Foundry, the build that they played was considered as ‘master’ although it is possible that the final code might be updated and improved once the game launches next month.
If you were curious about the resolution for Tekken 7, Digital Foundry have done their calculations by counting pixels of the game on regular PS4 and found the resolution to be running at 900p, resulting in a softer image quality. Although this resolution means the game runs at mostly solid 60 fps. There were no details about the PS4 Pro version of the game so it is possible that a native 1080p resolution can be achieved there.
Tekken 7 is set to launch on PS4, Xbox One and PC on June 2nd, 2017. The game will be developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment.
