Ubisoft: No Xbox One X Support Planned For South Park Fractured But Whole For Now

South Park The Fractured But Whole was released just last month. It received mostly positive reviews including our own. Since the game was released close to the launch of the Xbox One X, most of the fans were expecting it to support the console since it already had support for the PS4 Pro.

The official Xbox One X website for the game confirms that there is no support for 4K resolution and at the bare minimum, the game offers HDR support on the Xbox One S and Xbox One X. However we have decided to reach out to Ubisoft to confirm if the support is planned in an upcoming update and were told that “No optimization is planned for the time being.”

Ubisoft does appear to strongly support the Xbox One X with games like Ghost Recon Wildlands, Assassin’s Creed Origins and even the original Assassin’s Creed 1 all getting updated to support the hardware for Xbox One X with improvements to their visuals. For Honor was also confirmed to get an Xbox One X update in the future while if you were hoping for Assassin’s Creed Rogue to get similar 4K update like the original Assassin’s Creed, Ubisoft has told us that currently they have no plans for it.
