Ubisoft has revealed a new video showcasing some of the gameplay in Watch Dogs 2. In it, players are given a glimpse of the multiple new features present in the game as well, as improvements over returning features from the first Watch Dogs game.
First up is the new Net Hack View, a filter that allows players to detect hackable objects and opportunities, as well as detect signals in the world. Net Hack works very similarly to the Eagle Vision from the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
The developers have also taken fan feedback into account and have updated the driving in Watch Dogs 2. It is now more streamlined and smoother than before, which is partly thanks to the work done on it by Ubisoft Reflections, the studio most notably known for the Driver series of video games.
Clothing was also shown, and each district of the game world will have a unique set of styles exclusive to that area. Unlike the first game, clothing is now layered and there are over 700 unique clothing items that are available in the game.
The new Quad Copter and RC Jumper were also shown in depth and it is also shown how the RC Jumper is capable of sneaking past enemies due to it’s small size and hack doors and the like using it’s robotic arm. This allows Marcus to remain hidden while the gadgets do all the dangerous work.
Watch Dogs 2 is slated for release on 15th November 2016, and features new protagonist Marcus Holloway, a hacker who is involved with the hacking group DedSec. A new trailer for the game was also shown previously which showcases the game’s multiplayer.
