Last year Naruto fans faced disappointment with the release of ‘Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution’ in September as the game lacked a proper story mode and only featured battles and anime cut-scenes similar to ‘Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Generation’.
The game altered the character/battle system as it divided the abilities of one character into three different types with one for each character: Ultimate Jutsu type, Awakening type and Support type. This was viewed as a step backwards for the game as in previous versions each character could use all three of these abilities/types in one match. For example Sasuke Uchiha could use his Awakening ability to transform into his Susanoo when health was low, use Team Support to help in attack and defense and use devastating Ultimate Jutsu in previous games.
Fortunately with the upcoming ‘Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4’, this matter has been addressed as seen in the newly released game-play trailers from E3 2015. It shows that the new game will allow players to use all three abilities of Awakening, Ultimate Jutsu and Support with one character rather than three, freeing players of the limitations the previous game’s battle system brought. Furthermore ‘Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4’ will bring ‘Wall-Running’, Leader-Swap system, improved balanced, more characters than before and likely enhanced graphics as the game is exclusive to current-gen.
Here is the game-play trailer below.
Without a confirmed release date, the game is rumored to come out in September of this year on PS4 and Xbox One.
