Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End was originally revealed as a 60 fps release. However, the game seems to have dropped the 60 fps target for its single layer campaign and instead will target 60 fps for the multiplayer.
This news was confirmed by Kurt Margenau, who was talking about the game on GameSpot’s LiveCast for Day 2 of E3.
60 fps is no strange to Naughty Dog as they managed to run The Last of Us Remastered at 60 fps on the PS4. In term of their previous work, they have always targeted 30 fps for the Uncharted games. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will be the first game in the series to target 60 fps for its multiplayer.
At Sony’s E3 2015 conference, Naughty Dog’s Bruce Straley revealed the game with an action packed live demo, which also showcased the game’s semi-open world and new mechanics. The demo shown was just the first half of the extended demo, which is over 15 minutes long.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will be released on the PS4 in Spring 2016.
