Naughty Dog is known for their well placed easter eggs for franchise that they have worked on in the past and Uncharted 4 appears to be no different in that regard.
Spoilers Alert: The following information might be considered as a spoiler for those who want to experience Uncharted 4 for the first time.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has a story sequence where the players will have to play Naughty Dog’s classic Crash Bandicoot and try to beat a high score. This little easter egg is integrated into the story of the game in such a way that it feels natural. Nathan Drake will try to beat the high score set by Elena in Crash Bandicoot and while he attempts to try it, we get to witness the game booting along with the PS1 logo in all its glory.
Players will have three tries before to beat the high score and depending on their success, the story sequence might change and they could get mocked by Elena. This was discovered by ThisGenGaming who also shared the screenshots from this easter egg.
As eagle eyed users might have discovered, the game that is featured in this easter egg looks to be slightly different from the old PS1 classic. Is that another hint at the revival of franchise for Sony, who have long teased the return of Crash Bandicoot to PlayStation? Guess we will find out about it soon enough at their E3 2016 conference.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will be officially released on May 10th exclusively for the PS4.
