Valkyria Chronicles PC coming November 11; 1080p+ resolution support, 60fps, re-mappable controls and more confirmed

SEGA has stayed true to their word and released a ton of information about the upcoming PC release of Valkyria Chronicles. The game will be released on November 11 via Steam and is now available for pre-order for £14.99 / €19.99 / $19.99 which is fairly cheap considering the quality of the game.

The release will also include the following post-release DLC:

  • “Hard EX Mode” – Harder versions of skirmish missions in the main game.
  • “Edy’s Mission” – “Enter the Edy Detachment” side story campaign.
  • “Selveria’s Mission” – “Behind Her Blue Flame” side story campaign.
  • “Challenge of the Edy Detachment” – Six challenge missions.

Valkyria Chronicles for PC popped up on PEGI’s site a couple of days ago and the release was confirmed hours later on Twitter by SEGA themselves. By the looks of the information we’ve gotten it seems like the PC version will be a proper release and not a shoddy port like many developers have been releasing lately.

When asked about the game’s visual setting options regarding the resolution and FPS support, SEGA ensured that the game supports 1080p and beyond resolutions and 60fps gameplay. The PS3 release was 720p and ran at 30fps.

The game will also have re-mappable control support built in, with the option of playing with a keyboard and mouse if controllers aren’t your thing.

So far the PC release of Valkyria Chronicles is shaping up to be exactly the type of port we’ve wanted. Will you be getting the game? I for sure am double dipping, let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
