Watch Dogs 2 Seamless Multiplayer Goes Online For PS4 Followed By Xbox One

Ubisoft has confirmed that Watch Dogs 2 seamless multiplayer is available to play now on the PS4. It will be released for the Xbox One later today at early afternoon PST.

Watch Dogs 2 multiplayer was apparently broken at launch which resulted in frustration from the players. Ubisoft took down the multiplayer in an attempt to fix and it is finally going back online starting today.

Here is what will be offered with the seamless multiplayer mode for Watch Dogs 2.

Players will be able to experience the following multiplayer features via the Multiplayer App:

  • Invite friends to co-op or search for new co-op partners
  • Hack into a rival hacker’s world
  • Find targets for Bounty Hunts or trigger a bounty on themselves

The multiplayer is currently live on the PS4 while it will go live for the Xbox One later today. Ubisoft is actively keeping an eye on the multiplayer to ensure a smooth experience. If the multiplayer launch goes smoothly, Ubisoft will release the following new modes for the multiplayer.

Nearby bounty targets and Prime_Eight rivals will join the player’s world for them to hunt down and hack without going through the Multiplayer App in the smartphone. Players will also encounter friendly Dedsec hackers who can help them complete different Dedsec events throughout San Francisco.
