Witcher 3 HDR Patch For PS4 Pro Still In Development; CDPR Asks For Patience From Fans

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has received an update last year for the Xbox One X that added 4K support in addition to HDR. The implementation of HDR was a surprise addition since it was never added for the PS4 users. This made fans demand a similar patch for the PS4 Pro users and while CD Project Red confirmed that they will release an update for the PS4 Pro users, it hasn’t been launched yet.

CD Project Red Community Manager, Marcin Momot recently gave an update on the status of The Witcher 3 HDR update for the PS4 Pro.

“PS4 Pro HDR patch is still very much in development. Due to the fact that we’ve discovered some additional bugs along the way, we need more time to finish it. We don’t want to compromise the quality of the update, so we would like to ask you for a bit more patience,” said Marcin in a tweet.

He previously stated that the patch might be coming soon but that was quite a while ago so perhaps there are more issues with the update than simple bugs.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was one of the best RPG to release in 2016 and has won numerous game of the year awards. It also received a complete edition later that bundled it with all post-launch DLC. The game is available to play on the PS4, Xbox One and PC while also offering support for the enhanced hardware for PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.
