Personally Graphics problem is the least of my problems…. Is anyone having the problem with the stupid ship captain lying dead in the tavern making it imposible to travel to the next part of the game? this really pisses me off

  • Human@Play

I just updated and I regret doing so as they have butchered the games graphics on ps4. I don’t know if it’s a bug but it’s definitely been butchered. I regret going digital on this.

What TVs are you playing your games on? Nothing wrong with the text size. Maybe you are all sitting too far away. I have a 52inch.

I am not installing any patches as there is nothing wrong.

    25hours in on PS4
and not a single problem, no frame rate stutters, no clipping, Roach does what a horse does, no crashes, Roach does what a horse does, the cut scenes are amazing and fluid, something Inquisition never had, Roach does what a horse does.

This game just knocked The Last of Us off my top podium and after 33 years of being a gamer that is an Honor.

You’re lying though. Either that or your eyes can’t pick up when a screen stutters. Unless you have somehow hacked your PS4 it runs the game the same as everyone else’s.

      • SEGA Neptune

I suppose after 150hours in Inquisition this game seems like its running at 120fps. Perfectly healthy to always strive for perfection. In my case nothing has detracted me from the immersion of Witchers world. DAM that wind 🙂

    Enlarge the writing!!!!

  • justerthought

It’s nice to see the XB1 also gets a 30fps frame cap with v-sync enabled in order to avoid the dreaded screen tear.

  • Shahid

I updated and the game started crashing on ps4

    • Counterproductive

Says the burner account that started today and who’s only comment is this one.

      Seems legit.

The first patch downgraded the graphics even further on PS4, I wonder if this does too? It seems like to them “optimizing” is just cutting down the graphic fidelity to get it running better instead of optimizing code.

To anyone not believing the patch downgraded the graphics even more just google pre-patch comparisons to the patched ones.

I’m more amazed with the frame drops on PS4 they dont lock it to 30 FPS.

      • justerthought

Why are you amazed. Let me explain.

A 30fps lock means it cannot generate more than 30fps. The headroom by installing a threshold saving means they avoid screen tear, because the lock is achieved by enabling V-sync. The frame rate can go down when under stress in order to maintain the zero screen tear status.

Screen tear is the worse case scenario so it’s best to suffer a little stutter instead.

    • justerthought

Part of the optimisation process is adjusting the graphics quality so that the game runs smooth. You can only go so far with coding optimisation. The big savings are in the graphics. I love the 1080p clarity on the PS4 version so I’m undecided whether I would prefer 900p instead running without the frame stutter.

Who gives a F$%# about the framerate of a game as long as it is playable and looks good..I remember back when people just appreciated good games and didn’t search for any little problem they could find to complain about…To the constant complainers i say STFU and play the game, or go trade it in for something else and let those who appreciate it enjoy it 🙂

    • zakk1699

fps rate is fucking important you moran and if its low as fuck ts laggy as fuck and unplaybale you absolute turd

      • Matijs Emp

It was laggy sometimes, but the resolution or maybe blur effects turned of it looks like 1.02 patch was great! After the new patch suddenly I notice glitches in some quests. Not to speak of the glitches in alchemy + grafical downgrade. (My eyes don’t lie)

    • Marc Domange

Lol… Performance is as important as gameplay.
A good game must target the 2 aspects.

Witcher 3 is very attractive on many aspects… Except on performances aspect.

Dragon age inquisition is a lot better regarding performances

  • Robin Säve

Have played the game with the 1.03 for a while now, the framerate is slightly better now. But it’s still bad at some points, hope another patch will continue to fix this problem.

    • Marc Domange

Agree… I was expecting more framerate improvement

      • Omar Sultan

Same here, still some frame rate drops here and there, I noticed it especially when fighting wraiths.

Hopefully they will sort it out completely soon

  • crisciceroe

when is the US patch coming out??

  • Harry White

my frame rate is excellent, anyway. Only twice in 60 hrs has it stuttered for 3 seconds.

    • Kal El

      Well you’re incredibly lucky.

    • Saad Al Bloushi

Go to Novigrad and The Swamps and make a test

    • Marc Domange

Everybody has not the same sensibility to framedrops. I see it where other people don’t

  • Guest

I sincerely hope it betters the framerate, cuz a lot of times they claim it does when it really doesn’t. Fingers Crossed.

    • Kal El

It hasn’t, I’ve gone on the game and the frame rates still tedious. I was hoping for an improvement from this patch.

      • Guest

Figures, im not surprised. These devs are to full of sh’t. People need to stop believing what they say and hold their feet to the fire. Thanks for the response.

        • Kal El

I’m glad someone has the decency to be true about what has actually happened. I still get stuttering while galloping on a horse and where ever I go. Incredibly disappointing.
